Lu Jie Presents Another Paper at ISSCC 2020
Lu Jie again presented a noise-shaping SAR ADC paper at the prestigious International Solid-State Circuits Conference in San Francisco this February. This time, it was a 4th-order single-channel noise-shaping version.
In Lu's own words:
"In this work, a new cascaded architecture is proposed, which enables the first 4th-order single-channel noise-shaping SAR ADC. With the help of this technique, noise-shaping SAR ADCs can now achieve similar noise-shaping performance to sigma-delta ADCs, but at a much lower power and area cost.”
“Remember that last year I made an interleaved architecture for noise-shaping SAR (TINS-SAR), and this time I came up with the cascaded-noise-shaping SAR (CaNS-SAR) -- Seems like no matter what prefix you add to the NS-SAR, it comes out to be a great work! A shortcut to ISSCC 2021 might be found."
